Right after appointment
Right after the procedure your treatment area may feel a little uncomfortable and could feel a bit like a sunburn. This is completely normal. To treat this you may use:
- Ibuprofen
- Anti inflammatory medication
- Ice packs (3 hours after procedure)
You do not need to apply anything to the treatment area today, leave it to dry heal until the next morning.
Day ONE after treatment
Today your treatment area will be dry, you may have swelling. If you've had your eyes treated they will normally be swollen, especially the upper eyelid.
Continue with the cold compress and anti inflammatorys to help subside the swelling.
Continue the after care given.
Day TWO after treatment
Today your treatment area should have more dryness, feeling a little tight but swelling may also be visible.
The carbon crusts may appear darker as they continue to heal.
Continue with after care given.
Day THREE after treatment
Today all swelling should be subsiding.
Carbon Crusts will appear even darker and may now feel harder as they are getting ready to flake off.
Skin will also continue tightening as it heals.
Continue with after care given.
During the next 6 weeks your body will continue to heal. True results will appear at the 2-8 week mark. Your body will change in appearance many times while it heals until the true results are revealed. Some areas where swelling was substantial may have a white fluid discharge, this is not an infection; simply just fluid build up.
